Glaswegian quartet The Hedrons are the all-female rock band that we’ve been waiting for. NME said they sounded like “Patti Smith meets Penetration with a dash of early Blondie”, we’d add a measure of Ramones in there, and the gritty vocals took us unexpectedly back to L7. XFM Scotland and London have placed this on their evening playlist. Their set at this year's Go North in Aberdeen impressed us, after their gig we wrote: "We struggle to remember if we've ever seen an all-girl rock act who can cut it live to this extent". I Need You is their second single taken from their forthcoming album One More Won’t Kill Us, it’s an irresistible hooky, gritty turn that promises much for the future.
