22 year-old Akala (real name Kingslee Daley, brother of Ms Dynamite) blew us away at his recent Wireless Festival appearance. The wit, intelligence and scathing lyrical ability on display make It's Not A Rumour one of the strongest debut albums of 2006 – one that was critically acclaimed by a large cross-section of the British press. The fusion of hip-hop and rock music makes the potential for crossover all the more promising.
