When we first featured Stoney last year we said he was "a proper English songwriter like Elvis Costello or Squeeze". Having heard his full debut, The Scene & The Unseen, we're positive that he has what it takes to shine on an international stage. Perhaps that's why Rick Rubin and Guy Chambers are interested in working with him.We concur with Sunday Times' Dan Cairns' opinion that Stoney is "weird enough to be hip, commercial enough to be huge".
