BC Camplight (aka Brian Christinzio) is yet another well-received signing on One Little Indian, and this from his debut album Hide, Run Away is a perfect piece of melody-driven pop. His songs are intelligent, well-composed and delightfully understated. Comparisons to Badly Drawn Boy are abound, but it is clear that his work owes a great debt to Brian Wilson. With a supporting slot for The Boy Least Likely To on their forthcoming UK tour and being rated the Sunday Times album of the week upon its release, things are off to a promising start.
