False Alarm

Zoe Johnston

unsigned

WE SAY

Zoe's featured artist credits include Bent, Faithless and Paul Heaton. Now she's striking out on her own. We saw her play a magical set recently at London's Betsey Trotwood which really did resemble a Cheeky Records house party (she's managed by ex-Cheeky man Morgan Nelson, while Dido, Rollo and Sister Bliss were all in attendance). Few other industry people have seen her yet but that's likely to change when she plays at In The City (Vault, Saturday). False Alarms (featured here in its demo version) was the highlight of her live set and demonstrates an ability to write perfectly formed, delicate, touching songs.
