We’re seriously impressed with this sumptuous R&B offering from 24 year old British singer songwriter ZK Jade, aka Jada Morandi Avezzu. Having cut her songwriting teeth at the Berklee College of Music, a pivotal move to Atlanta led to an opportunity as an in-house writer at producer and writer Lil’ Ronnie’s (Usher, Britney Spears, 2Chainz) facility Einnor Studios. Here, she has been honing her craft, working alongside top tier songwriters, including Felly The Voice and Jaylyn Denaie. Outside of this, ZK Jade has earned credits writing for others, most notably on Sammie’s latest album ‘L.A.W.’ with the tracks ‘Touch Yourself’, ‘Who Do You Belong To’ and ‘Serious’. Since the album was released, the tracks have been featured on official playlists at Apple Music and Spotify. ‘Oxygen’ is her latest self-penned cut, ready for licensing, and with its seductive and slinky modern R&B groove that lets her glorious vocals and lyrics shine through, we reckon it won’t be long before this tune gets snapped up. Through her songwriting credits and this captivating track, ZK Jade shows a natural talent for lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities, making her an artist and songwriter to keep a close eye on this year.
