Channelling CSNY and the Mamas & The Papas - with a sprinkling of Fleetwood Mac for good measure - unsigned cosmic folk duo Zervas & Pepper's sweeping harmonies might sound more at home in Laurel Canyon than their native south Wales. Self-funded debut album Somewhere In The City found friends in Terry Wogan, Radcliffe & Maconie, Janice Long and Lauren Laverne, whose session popped up in 6 Music's 'Best Bits of 2012'. The first single from sophomore longplayer Lifebringer (released July 22), is Sure Fire Bet - a bright, melodic AC track with instant radio appeal and an Allman Bros-esque guitar solo to boot. Paul and Kathryn have a packed summer of festivals ahead of them including Green Man and Glastonbury, while Great Escape delegates will have a chance to see them on May 16.
