WE SAY
A left-field tropical pop-influenced indie track that could probably only have been born in the minds of a Finnish band - this is the sound of Turku three-piece Yournalist. Thrilling alt. pop-rock which takes musical turn-after-turn, their first single Nigerian Girl is an artful summer song held together by delightfully oddball lyrics. We'd file it, stylistically anyway, next to Everything Everything, and there's a whole lot more going on on the other tracks on their debut Slippery and Infected EP. It's out now in Finland on new indie label Drink Tonight.
