WE SAY
German based indie-folk band You&Me made an enterprising and seasonal launch for their latest single Wrong War. Planned by Geheimtipp Hamburg in cooperation with SofaConcerts and S-Bahn, competition winners boarded a special Christmas themed S-train in Hamburg thinking they were travelling to a show, only for the band to start playing right there on the train along with a hidden string quartet and a choir. The resulting viral video acts as a great promotion for a song which lyrically is a call for solidarity, friendship, tolerance, warmth and love. It’s uplifting musically too with an acoustic guitar driving the rhythm along with soaring vocals and the pounding of a snare. Capturing the attention of streaming giants on the continent, there’s strong playlist placements in new music, morning, driving and indie themes from Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, Napster and Googleplay. With plans to bring their vibrant mix to other countries, the band are currently looking for a UK label and have an album ready for release in the spring.
