Blending minimal pulsating synths and Yoav's distinctive vocal, Blink sounds like nothing we've heard all year, reminding us just how talented the South African is. His new album - Blood Vine - builds superbly on previous releases - debut Charmed & Strange (2008 - Field Recordings/Island Records) and A Foolproof Escape Plan (2010) - yet is sonically and lyrically leaps away from the material that has turned Yoav into one of indie music’s best-kept secrets. His unquestionable ability has earned him a placement on the Sucker Punch soundtrack (a re-imagined cover of the Pixies Where Is My Mind?), bookings at major festivals, including Coachella and Glastonbury; an appearance on Later With Jools Holland (with his international hit Club Thing) and high–profile live appearances a-plenty, alongside the likes of Tori Amos, Imogen Heap and Underworld.
