Yasmin ft Shy FX & Ms Dynamite
WE SAY
Bringing us some much needed winter sun, Light Up The World is an insatiable carnival-inspired jam. Yasmin's 2011 introduction has been huge, from cult single On My Own to Labrinth-produced Top 15 hit Finish Line. As a result of the quality Yasmin has been producing, this year she's received Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe, MistaJam and Trevor Nelson, performed live on Children In Need, not to forget broad press support including i-D, NME, Harpers and Vogue. Her rollercoaster year included working with notable producer/remixer Jamie XX, Diplo (MIA, Kanye West), The Smeezingtons (B.o.B, Kid Cudi, Bruno Mars), a tour with Snoop Dogg, a photoshoot with couture designer Roberto Cavalli and a MOBO nomination for 'Best Newcomer'. We've got high hopes for her debut album, expected in the spring. Video.
