WE SAY
It’s not often we are completely drawn into the world of an artist and a song within the first 30 seconds, but London-based artist WØLFFE has bewitched us with ‘Honeymoon Season’. With its ’90s inspired alternative guitar melody and soft percussion underlying each verse, alongside WØLFFE’s distinct vocal regaling a story of love before soaring into a shimmering chorus, this is a cinematic alt-rock gem. Written and produced by WØLFFE and Dan McDougall (Liam Gallagher, Baby Queen) and mixed by Charlie Russell (Royal Blood, Alt-J), ‘Honeymoon Season’ is perfect for additions to alt-rock and cinematic editorial playlists at DSPs, and deserves spins at Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X. She stepped away from music after her debut release ‘Shoot You Down’ received support from BBC Introducing, Wonderland and Clash, among others, was featured as the end credits song to Sylvester Stallone’s Escape Plan 3, and then focussed on producing and writing music for film and TV (Margot Robbie’s Terminal, Johnnie Walker’s Global TV campaign to name just a few). Following this stunning release, she will drop new tracks every 6-8 weeks in the lead-up to an EP's release in November. In February, she sold out her debut live show at Bermondsey Social Club and will play a support slot at Colours in London on 15 August. WØLFFE is currently seeking a live agent, publishing and record deal. One to watch.
