Push For The Stride

Ward Thomas

WTW Music

WE SAY

The word is rapidly spreading on Ward Thomas. Twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy first came to our attention back in April when we featured their excellent song The Good And The Right from their Footnotes EP. Since then they've completed their debut album From Where We Stand and following a TV appearance on BBC Breakfast almost two weeks ago, it's now up amongst the big names on Amazon's pre-release orders and No.1 on the Country chart. The track is already on Radio 2's B list and UK broadsheets are starting to take notice too with recent features in both the Independent and Sunday Time Culture section. There's a huge appetite for this UK-take on the multi-billion dollar Nashville sound, not just here but Stateside too. The names that they've assembled to be part of this project is impressive - some of the genre's finest including Grammy award winner Michael Omartian and superstar Vince Gill. We genuinely can't wait to see the girls play live at their next London date at Camden's Green Note venue on July 25. Put any pre-conceived notions aside - this track is so brilliantly executed, you'll feel like you must have known it for years. In reality, it's simply a joyous feel-good, foot to the floor, driving anthem that you'll want to crank up loud with the windows down, tapping the steering wheel as the sun blazes down. Ward Thomas proves there really is such a thing as a guilt-free guilty pleasure.
