WE SAY
It’s been just over two years since we last featured Swedish dream-pop group ViVii and their captivating single And Tragic. During that time the trio have released their self-titled album, amassed over 14m combined streams and started work on their untitled follow-up album (out in May), with bandmate Anders Eckeborn taking up the reins on production. Last year, they dropped the first fruits of their sessions with Anders, including the BBC 6 Music playlisted Summer of 99, the Earmilk approved Fool Alone, and the Clash featured Rendezvous. Now back with their first new track of 2021, One Day is a gorgeous, shimmering gem of dreamy delights, airy synths and lush vocals. Full of warm pop melodies and an infectious reverb-drenched guitar lick, the track featured on new release programming at streaming services (Spotify and Apple Music) and is primed for inclusion on dreamy, chilled-out indie contextual playlists. Online tastemakers DIY, Sodwee and Buffa are already singing their praises, and we expect more to come too over the next couple of days. Joyously vibrant and meaningful.
