WE SAY
It’s six months since we last featured Tyneside-based four piece VITO, and there’s been a flurry of national attention and progress following on from the excellent debut track Masquerade. Keen supporter Nick Roberts from BBC Introducing North East tipped them on 6 Music ahead of their show at the region’s Evolution Emerging festival for new bands at the end of May. A week earlier, they performed to packed-out crowds four times at The Great Escape. This latest song was added to Alexrainbird's influential playlist on YouTube, leading to over 165,000 views. As with Masquerade, it was self-produced by the band, and mastered by engineer Pete Maher, who’s worked with The Rolling Stones, U2 and Noel Gallagher among others. They’re on the bill supporting The Coral next at Gateshead’s Chase Park Festival in August and are keen to get some London dates scheduled soon. This song's another confident, spirited indie guitar anthem and already a live favourite, delivered with bags of exuberance. Their time in the mainstream spotlight is fast approaching.
