WE SAY
The Waves is the first taster of Villagers' return, kick-starting into life with an electronic pulse and building to a dramatic string-laden climax. The release follows the band's Mercury-nominated and Ivor Novello Award winning debut - Becoming a Jackal - further details of which are to be announced soon. Already garnering radio support that includes a 'Hottest Record In The World' on Zane Lowe, further daytime plays on Radio 1 from Huw Stephens standing in for Rick James, B list at 6Music, Jo Whiley support at Radio 2, huge video views (the video was launched through Vevo) and excitement from the core audience, Villagers have thrilled their expectant fans with this superb return. They are set to head out on tour in support of Grizzly Bear in the UK and Europe, including a show at Brixton Academy on 22 October. Video.
