WE SAY
17 year-old Verbalicious's MCing won a Radio 1 rap competition last year and stopped one of hip hop's top celebrities in his tracks. With Don't Play Nice, produced by Random in Gothenburg, she has a track that demonstrates those skills and sounds like a crossover hit to boot. Adventure Records were planning to release this as a download only but it has already been played to great applause on Radio 1 (on Colin and Edith's show, which we must say is way more focused than Mark & Lard ever were) and they're now talking to various labels in the UK and US about partnering with them to break Verbalicious.
