Look Look Look
Velvet Volume
WE SAY
Full of rock swagger and attitude, Velvet Volume are three sisters from Aarhus in Denmark who having been making music together for the past five years. Having released four singles previously, Look Look Look is the first glimpse of the band’s upcoming debut album this October. The track combines pounding drums, driven guitars and empowered vocals with a slightly poppy heart that is akin to the sounds of Veruca Salt blurred with Hole and Yeah Yeah Yeahs filters. Already gaining attention from the likes of The Line of Best Fit and Amazing Radio in the UK the band have built a considerable amount of buzz in their native homeland with numerous festival and live TV performances, support from GAFFA music magazine and having recorded the theme song to the Danish version of Powerpuff Girls reboot on Cartoon Network. This is one band we are sure you will be hearing more off over the next year. They will be playing numerous gigs at this week’s Reeperbahn festival so if you are over there make sure you catch them live. You won’t be disappointed.
