WE SAY
A doo-wop debut with nods to the Beach Boys has put young North London band Velvet Stream on the map. They were one of MTV UK's top 20 unsigned acts for 2012, causing some healthy A&R buzz. The band's live shows have become increasingly industry heavy recently as their online presence picks up around the release of Selfish Mind, with a recent cover of Stooshe’s Black Heart picking up retweets from Labrinth and the Stooshe girls. The five-piece have recorded a session for BBC Maida Vale, and a live session for Dropout TV where they join the ranks of Plan B, Alex Clare and Owl City. Video.
