WE SAY
Singer, songwriter and producer V V Brown's first single on Island is a storming two and a half minutes of very pleasurable pop. It's instant, witty and the production is superb. On her MySpace she calls her sound 'do wop indie' - 'Crying Blood' is certainly a brilliant and exciting track and should stick at radio. Popjustice featured the track last week, along with this glowing introduction to her. Festival dates are lined up ahead of a September release, including the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury and Bestival. JF London gig: July 14, Pigalle Club W1
