Sappho

Tribes

Island

WE SAY

With its crunching guitars and anthemic chorus, Sappho is an excellent follow up to Tribes debut single We Were Children, which upon its release Zane proclaimed his "Hottest Record in The World". After making an instant impact on London's live scene, the band's sixth show was an opening slot for heroes The Pixies. Since then, Tribes have focused on building a grassroots following, playing smaller venues to impassioned crowds. Their first headline tour ended with a sold out show at Camden Dingwalls, and it was through these gigs Sappho emerged as a fans favourite. With support from NME, Radio 1, Xfm and The Mystery Jets labelling them "the future of rock'n'roll", Tribes are definitely one to watch out for. Video.
London GIgs: August 5, Underage Festival E3, August 6, Field Day Festival E3
