If He Should Ever Leave You
Tom Jones
WE SAY
This sounds like an artist who has rediscovered his fire. Tom Jones' next album, 24 Hours, is out next month here. This is the lead single, a sophisticated and soulful pop song that demonstrates his return to form. It also showcases that great voice. All credit too to the Future Cut duo (Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, Estelle and Kate Nash). The title track is also excellent- watch the captivating video for it - and a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s The Hitter is another highlight. JF
