Fading Away
Tom A. Smith
WE SAY
Just over a year ago, we talked about our admiration for rising Sunderland artist Tom A. Smith. Since then, he has had a busy year releasing his third EP, ‘EP3’, playing numerous festivals (inc Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, The Great Escape), and supporting the likes of Courteeners, Miles Kane, James, Ten Tonnes and more. Along the way, his music picked up numerous spins at Radio 1, Radio X and Absolute Radio, as well as on-air support on Sunday Brunch, MTV Gonzo, Soccer AM and MOTD X. This anthemic belter, propelled by a blend of raucous guitar riffs, emotion and an almost U2-esque melody, is an absolute blast. Released earlier this month and produced by Hugo White (The Maccabees), 'Fading Away' has featured on multiple editorial playlists at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and YouTube, been played at Radio 1 and received praise from The Line of Best Fit, Earmilk, This Feeling, Clout, and more. Having just finished supporting Hard-Fi on a UK tour, Tom will be heading on a massive 31-date UK tour next month that will end in his hometown on 9 December and include a show at the Camden Assembly on 29 November.
