Emotional, moving and exactly the sort of thing that’ll stop you in your tracks, this fabulous track is the work of These Brittle Bones, the alias of Chris Jones. Born in Wales, he’s grown up in Singapore for the past seven years, since his family moved out there, Amazingly, this prodigiously talented chap is only 16 years old but has already had a publishing deal with Kobalt since he was 14. Recent features about him and his music have appeared in Time Out and Nylon there. Meanwhile, back here in the UK, Bethan Elfyn at BBC Introducing in Wales and the team at Amazing Radio have already supported him. This first single from his forthcoming EP sees him make a deeply adventurous exploration into an ethereal, more electronic side of his work and the subject matter is one that many of his peer group will relate to, namely how can one feel less troubled by the concept of independence. We’re excited to hear so much more from him now on the evidence of this one song alone. His sound and name may be brittle but we believe he has the strength to be a major talent.
