MashitUP's breakbeat-driven electro, topped with Laura Kidd's shouty punk vocal is an indicator of the eclectic nature of their work and a taster of The Young Punx’ forthcoming second album which is out next Spring. This single arrives just as the collective, led by producer Hal Ritson, has been shortlisted for a Grammy in the Best Electronic/Dance Album category for debut album 'Your Music Is Killing Me'. There's a Young Punx takeover on Annie Nightingale's R1 show this week followed by a set at Trafalgar Square as part of EA Games festival on November 1. The video for MashitUP has added to the Flaunt (where they'll host a takeover on Tuesday) and Fizz TV playlists. JF
