Dead Man's Shoes
The Virginmarys
WE SAY
Dead Man's Shoes is another pent-up explosion of driven guitars and energetic vocals from The Virginmarys. It's the first single from the Macclesfield band since the inking of a worldwide deal with Cooking Vinyl's brand new rock label DoubleCross, and comes ahead of the three-piece's debut album King Of Conflict, due for release early 2013. We first featured them in January (RotD) when they came onto our radar with some impressive press and radio including support from Radio1, Kerrang and a pan-Atlantic iTunes single of the week. The last two years have been spent extensively touring with the likes of Eagles Of Death Metal, Slash, Ash, We Are Scientists and Skunk Anansie. Produced by Toby Jepson and with Chris Sheldon (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro) handling the mixes, Dead Man's Shoes is supported by a nine date UK headline tour in October before the band head off to New York to play the prestigious CMJ music festival.
