The Thurston Revival
WE SAY
When we first featured Vancouver-based The Thurston Revival earlier this month we had a wholly positive reaction. This is a flip-side of the bluesy track we featured last time and it’s a quality track that bears repeated listens. We were at his In The City gig and this song made for a truly mesmerising finale. A review of that show on the BBC website was similarly impressed: "..a voice like a melancholic Nina Simone on a really dark day, he makes you actually want to listen, as opposed just blocking out all other sound due to officious amplification." The Thurston Revival is an original and challenging artist who should command your attention. Go see him live in London this Saturday. JF London Gig: 25 November, 8pm The Fly WC1
