Oh Mandy

The Spinto Band

unsigned/Alex The Great

WE SAY

The intro to Oh Mandy was enough to win us over to this band. This has potential to become an indie classic in the vein of Float On by Modest Mouse. The Spinto Band are a seven piece from Wilmington, Delaware who list their influences as The Beatles, David Bowie, Ween, Burt Bacharach and the Flaming Lips, which goes some way to explaining why they're so appealing. They came to our attention via Mike Dixon who manages Ron Sexsmith, having been developed by his production company Alex The Great (who are also behind Butterfly Boucher). For the moment at least, they're available for records and publishing.
