The Pack

Columbia

WE SAY

The Pack are a five-piece from California who are already creating a strong buzz with radio stations across the US, who are hammering this track. A product of the Bay Area hip hop scene, their album is scheduled for next year and features guest spots from a host of well known rappers including Too $hort, who signed them to his Zomba/Jive imprint. On the face of it, it's a song about a brand of trainers, but behind it is the story of the crossover of hip-hop and skating cultures. It is currently one of the most viewed music videos on YouTube. Over here early radio support has come from Zane Lowe who had it as a Record of the Week. Minimalist but infectious hip hop. JF Tipped by: Hattie Collins, RWD
