We Will Run
The Nectars
WE SAY
We continue our look ahead to some of the acts performing at The Great Escape this weekend and today it's American band The Nectars, who we featured at the start of the year. Formed in late 2016 and fronted by the enigmatic Jessica Kenny, the New Jersey natives have been garnering a steady stream of tastemaker support from the likes of Clash, Substream US, NME, and Team Rock for their blend of pumped up art rock, modern indie-pop sensibilities and punk attitude. We Will Run is their latest blast of euphoric indie rock with its chugging guitar riff and sing-a-long chorus to be taken from their forthcoming debut album Sci-Fi Television out later this month. With a busy UK schedule lined up for their first ever UK visit that includes sessions for Ticketmaster and So Far Sounds, the band will kickstart their nine date UK tour tomorrow night (16 May) at London’s House of Vans. They then head to TGE to perform at the Hope and Ruin on Thursday night and culminate with an appearance at Dot To Dot festival. Carefree, energetic and full of passion, this New York band are set to take the UK by storm this week.
