The Luka State
WE SAY
We previously featured Cheshire-based band The Luka State at the start of this year with their frantic Lies! Lies! Lies! and we’re delighted they're back with this hugely accessible future anthem. These boys continue to build a name for themselves with almost 200,000 views for their weekly self-made YouTube TV show highlighting fresh undiscovered talent. That's to add to more than three million YouTube views for their own music, and over a million Spotify plays to date. Recently Radio X has jumped on board to support them, and the band has played at Camden Rocks All Day at Proud plus This Feeling Liverpool over the past couple of weeks. Next comes a headline slot on Liverpool’s Sound City's Camp & Furnace Stage on May 26, and a Good Mixer show as part of Camden Rocks in London on June 3. This little belter has been remixed by Rich Turvey, who’s been working with Blossoms and Cabbage, giving it a radio-friendly polish that points the way towards a noteworthy debut album in the coming months. Firing on all cylinders here right from the off, these lads clearly mean business.
