Come Fi Di Youth

The King Blues

Field Recordings

WE SAY

The King Blues are the first band signed to Field Recordings, Rollo Armstrong's new label backed by Island (our own JT is also involved in the label). We've been supporters of the band since we first featured their fantastic Mr Music Man back in November last year. Mike Davies at R1 is also a fan and gave this its first radio play last week. This track has a rough punk edge and, like much of their work, genuinely stirring lyrics - one of the reasons we like them so much. We look forward to a new version of Mr Music Man and the updated Under The Fog album at the end of summer. Catch them at their monthly residency at Purple Turtle. JF London gig: 6 August, Purple Turtle NW1
