All Night Long
The Karma Effect
WE SAY
Formed by friends during the pandemic, The Karma Effect are a five-piece band that melds melody, raw soul and huge rock’n’roll choruses in their blues-tinged hard rock style. In 2022, they released their self-released, self-titled album that led them to play eleven festivals in 2023 and a sold-out headline tour. Last week, they followed up their debut album release with ‘The Promised Land’ on Earache Records. Recorded at MRC Studios and The Hive Studios with Michael Charman, the album was built on escapism from start to finish. Continuing with their melodic, hard rock full of hook-laden rock’n’roll and an ’80s shimmer, ‘The Promised Land’ is a must for those Aerosmith, Foreigner, Black Crowes and Greta Van Fleet fans. Featuring strutting twin-attack guitar, soul-drenched vocals and irresistible gospel groove, ‘All Night Long’ is the standout track on the album and is an impressive statement of the band’s loyalty to blues rock and southern rock. Featuring at the top of Spotify’s Modern Blues Rock editorial playlist, it’s not just us who think so too. Previous tastemaker support has come from Classic Rock and Planet Rock. Having headed out on a 22-date UK tour earlier this year, the band are currently promoting their new album with in-store signings and sessions this week, before performing at numerous festivals this summer and another headline tour this autumn.
