The Jezabels
WE SAY
Sydney band The Jezabels released their EP, Dark Storm last month in Australia. It's the third and final of a widely well-received trilogy of EPs from the band. The atmospheric rumblings of Mace Spray have already been added to high rotation on Triple J and other Australian stations, and made the No 1 alternative track slot on the national airplay chart on release. The band has recently toured with Tegan & Sara and Josh Pyke and performed at the major Australian festivals. They've just done CMJ and are on a Canadian tour, before heading home to their national headline tour next month. They're working this EP at college radio in the US and Canada which has been hugely receptive of their previous EPs. We'd also suggest checking out A Little Piece for further evidence of their graceful, atmospheric songs, all helped by singer Hayley Mary's sweet and potent vocal. The Jezabels are unsigned for records and publishing.
