Hall of Fame
The Howl & The Hum
WE SAY
Having impressed audiences last Thursday at The Great Escape with their blend of dark hypnotic pop, post-punk influences, and gut-wrenching lyrics, York-based four-piece The Howl & The Hum dropped this absolute gem on Friday. Featuring at No.10 on Spotify UK New Music Friday playlist, Hall of Fame is a furious track with a gorgeous soaring chorus that plays to the band’s strengths. With over 8m combined streams and previous radio support from Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X, we reckon this track will quickly follow suit with spins across the stations and garner more online fans too. Back in February, they completed a UK tour, including a sold-out Omeara, before heading to SXSW as part of the BBC Introducing line-up and later this week they will announce more shows for this year. Currently, Sam, Bradley, Conor and Jack are working on their debut album with producer Jolyon Thomas (Slaves, Kendrick Lamar, Royal Blood) in a studio outside of York and if this and previous tracks are anything to go by, we are in for a real emotional and powerful treat. A top class indie banger.
