All We Ever Knew
The Head & The Heart
WE SAY
It’s five years since The Head & The Heart first emerged with their self-titled debut album on the legendary Seattle-based record label Sub Pop. It went on to become one of the label’s biggest debuts ever. Since then, the six-piece released a follow-up in 2013 before heading off in different directions away from music for a year. Summer 2015 saw them regroup, rent a beach bungalow, start the writing process for this current album and then head of to Nashville to record it. The result is Signs Of Light, a solid body of work that’s given them a Top 5 album on the Billboard Top 200 and a No.1 on the Rock Chart. This acoustic-led mid-tempo radio anthem seems to be benefitting from a proper word-of-mouth buzz, thanks to its undoubted enormously broad appeal and is breaking out after spending eight weeks as the No.1 song at AAA formats. The band play a rare London date tonight (September 28) at Hoxton Hall, a gig that sold out in just 30 minutes. With flourishes of Americana, folk, and acoustic pop all in the mix, watch this uplifting song grow at a global level in the coming months.
