All My Love
The Electric Confectionaires
WE SAY
The Electric Confectionaires are four 17 and 18 year-olds from Devenport near Auckland, New Zealand. They won Rockquest last year, a nationwide contest which in the past has helped artists such as Bic Runga towards a record deal. Their success validated SonyBMG New Zealand's early interest in them, and they were signed soon afterwards. Managed by Virgin's former Director of International Marketing, Lorraine Barry, they describe their sound as “barbershop-garage-psychedelic-blues-surf-jazz-Devonport-coreâ€ÂÂ. What we've heard so far reference-checks some astute '60s pop influences and makes us want to hear more. Their debut album will be recorded in September; they are currently unsigned for publishing.
