The Dodos

unsigned/Frenchkiss, US

WE SAY

Released on US indie Frenchkiss next week (home to Les Savy Fav and The Hold Steady), the second album from Californian duo The Dodos, 'Visiter', has aroused interest from UK labels of late and received widespread positive coverage on blogs. The duo, songwriter Meric Long and drummer Logan Kroeber, have a psych-pop sound that has many comparing them to bands like Animal Collective. We really like what we've heard so far and as they've gained a reputation for energetic live shows, we look forward to watching them flourish at one of their many SXSW spots. Tipped by: Derek Davies, Good Weather For Airstrikes and William Hines, The Cold Cut. JF SXSW Gig: Friday March 14: Emos Jr 21:00, Saturday March 15 SFSXSW Party, Bourbon Rocks 16:00 and more dates on their MySpace. Video
