The Dealer ft. Shells
WE SAY
Premiered last night by Mistajam on BBC Radio 1Xtra, this gorgeously chilled song comes from producer and songwriter The Dealer, an artist that we last featured here back in summer 2014 with his excellent debut release Right Beside You. His latest track is released through the Love & Other label, home to underground acts like Kokiri, Bearcubs, Illyus & Barrientos. The seductive female vocal lead comes from London-based singer Shells, who adds a suitably luscious, relaxed quality to the laid-back beats that push it all smoothly along. Having already supplied remixes for acts like Kyla La Grange, Jason Burns and Femme, the mysterious man behind it will finally come out of studio shadows to play at XOYO in East London on March 6 as part of the Love & Other showcase night. Remixes on this track come from Panda and Amateur Dance. Watch this fella with interest in the coming months. On this evidence you’ll be dropping his name and sharing his music socially wherever possible pretty damn soon.
