Baby Boom

The Crimea

Warners

WE SAY

It's no secret that we're big fans of The Crimea. We've loved this song for a long time. A prior independently released version was featured in John Peel’s final festival fifty in 2003, and it appeared in a Times reader-led feature about the best lyrics ever written. The lyrics are brilliantly charming and melancholic in equal measure and the guitar riff lulls the listener in to perfect hypnotic effect. This track is a master class in song writing. JF London Gig: 3 August, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes, WC1
