1000 Years
The Coral
WE SAY
Taken from The Coral's forthcoming sixth studio album The Butterfly House, 1000 Years recently got its premiere on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. Produced by John Leckie (The Stone Roses, Radiohead), the delightfully swooning dream-pop we've heard so far on this and the title track (available here) sounds like the most-focused work we've heard from The Coral in some time. "A fan's band and a band's band" was how Zane described them - we're sure their influence will keep spreading thanks to their knack for the perfect light touch to songs - as demonstrated on this single. Festivals include Oxegen, T In The Park and Latitude and they start a UK tour in July. London gig: July 14 Shepherd's Bush Empire W12
