Paper Hearts for Josie
The Beauty Shop
WE SAY
The Beauty Shop are a synthesis of Americana and the great American indie rock tradition (Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, even Pearl Jam), and it works brilliantly, helped by the extraordinary voice of singer/songwriter John Hoeffleur. Their second album brought them to the attention of media in the UK, ourselves included, and got them the deal with Snapper imprint Believe. Cult status and a long career beckon if they carry on making music this good.
