The Band Perry
WE SAY
The Band Perry are one of the most successful US acts of recent years that are yet to crossover in the UK. That’s all about to change in a very big way though, we reckon. Already beloved in country music circles (they picked up the 2015 Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance), this latest track from their forthcoming album plants them firmly into the mainstream. It’s a place we’re certain they’ll inhabit with relish on this evidence: a big, bold, killer chorus, solid production beautifully handled by RedOne and Dann Huff and the kind of brilliantly-crafted song that’s helped their friend Taylor Swift become one of the biggest stars on the planet. It’s bold move, for sure, but looks set to bag them a host of new fans in the coming months. Premiered on iHeart Radio and Good Morning America last week, we look forward to them hopefully visiting the UK for some promo later this year. At the start of 2015, we predicted that country would be fully embraced and become ‘the new pop’ in 2015. It looks like we we're back on target and you can add this trio to that list right now.
