Rising from a burgeoning urban scene in Ireland, Tebi Rex are an alternative hip hop duo from Kildare whose style can fluctuate from catchy, upbeat pop-rap to strikingly dark and complex lyricism. Men Are Trash, is the lead single from their new EP, Welcome to the Darkest Year of Our Adventures, that featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and Irish Viral Top 50 playlists, plus has seen radio support in Ireland on TodayFM, RTE 2, Beat 102-103 and on Tom Robinson's BBC 6 Music show. With its tropical pop instrumentals and catchy hook, the duo produces something fresh and familiar whilst offering a satirical and critical commentary on 'guy culture’ and everyday sexism. Further tastemaker support for the duo has come from Nialler9, Irish Times, and State.ie among others. Tebi Rex are one to watch and proves there is more than just a London urban scene.
