Syron
Black Butter Records / Ministry of Sound
WE SAY
With exceptionally delivered and produced vocals, Syron is one of the most exciting new artists in the UK right now. The single picked up an exclusive at radio last Thursday courtesy of 1Xtra's MistaJam before making a huge impact online. Starting with a premiere on The Fader, and being noticed by Popjustice, Wonderland, Stereogum, Disco Naivete, RWD and others in only a matter of hours. The video, which went live only yesterday [January 30], received a similar response, buoyed by a great review in this week's NME. The BRIT School graduate is one of iTunes' New Artists for 2013 and, with growing media profiling, is set to feature on Channel 4's Launched at Red Bull Studios, airing on February 6. At the tale end of 2012, Syron's debut single Breaking picked up excellent radio support, including a Zane Lowe 'Next Hype' play on Radio 1, playlist at 1Xtra, Sarah Jane Crawford's 'Smash of the Week', Adele Roberts' 'Weekend Anthem' along with great specialist support on the Hackman remix.
