I See Girls

Studio B

Boss/Data

WE SAY

There's a real buzz around this track - far bigger than when it was first released. Then, it was an R&B- flavoured soundtrack to a Lynx ad, featuring vocals from So Solid's Romeo and signed to Multiply. DJs Huey from Garlands in Liverpool and the Trophy Twins from Kiss Da Funk in Leeds started championing it, followed by Judge Jules (who played it every week on Radio 1 for 3 months), Pete Tong (it was an Essential New Tune and a Cool Cuts #1) and Dave Pearce. Boss cannily picked up the rights from Prism, who had them after Telstar's demise, and it's now on the B list at Radio 1. See the video here or here (low res version).
