Steven Lee vs. Goldie ft. Macy Gray
WE SAY
Remember a brilliant dance anthem from back in the day called Shake It (Move A Little Closer)? That was the work of Lee Cabrera and it’s New York DJ & producer Steven Lee from that duo who’s now responsible for this drum and bass gem, the first to come from his album #TeamWork which features an all-star cast of global musical talent including Iggy Azalea, Jeremih, Flo Rida and Aloe Blacc. This great track showcases the unmistakable vocals of the fabulous Macy Gray, set against a backdrop reminiscent of Rudimental’s Feel The Love and one which constantly grows and develops into a pumping, addictive dance banger. With remixes from Goldie and Troyboi, support to date has come from Mistajam and B Traits but this now feels and sounds like an enormous mainstream crossover smash to us. Steven will be performing the track with Macy at the official closing party for Miami Music Week at the end of this month. Currently (and somewhat remarkably) the whole project is unsigned. Not for much longer, we suspect.
