Sparrow And The Workshop
WE SAY
Glasgow-based trio Sparrow and the Workshop follow their critically lauded 2010 collection Crystals Fall with a new album, Spitting Daggers next month. Produced and mixed by Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno/Sam Amidon), Snakes In The Grass is the the first single from it. 'Ethereal and electric’ say The Guardian, while The Word magazine compared their sound to ‘Emmylou Harris meets Jack White in a sexy headlock’. Punchy but with a fragile centre, Jill O'Sullivan's wonderful voice powers what Dave Simpson in The Guardian's First Sight feature called their '..timeless, slightly otherworldly country-folk, with a few odd twists'. A UK headline tour and festival dates will be announced shortly.
