Sound of the Sirens
WE SAY
Exeter-based folk-rock duo Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood, aka Sound of the Sirens, use vocal harmonies to weave tales of love, loss and reflection, backed by rich folk and Americana melodies laced with a slight punkish attitude. Since their 2013 debut A Long Way to Fall, the duo have released a string of EPs, two albums and have toured across the UK and internationally. Their appearance at Glastonbury in 2016 led them to appear on TFI Friday alongside U2 and Take That. With support from UK online folk tastemakers, Sound of the Sirens are a firm favourite on the scene and have built up a loyal following. This uplifting and foot-stomping folk-rock ode is the latest release from their forthcoming Saul Davies (James) produced album, Damage Control. With its rousing lyrics and singalong nature, These are the Days is a gorgeous track ready to be played on Radio 2, 6 Music and specialist folk stations, along with additions to folk playlists at DSPs. Watch the video here. This April, the duo will head out on a fifteen-date UK tour following their album launch show at The Grace in London on 8 April. Exquisite harmonies and songwriting from a duo who love to perform live and bring their own infectious nature to their songs.
