What Did I Do
Sophie Delila
WE SAY
A bittersweet tale of lost love, Sophie Delila's lead single What Did I Do is the perfect showcase for the singer's talents, combining her traditional songwriter sensibilities and dance-based influences. Although you may not yet know it, you've almost certainly encountered the work of the Sophie elsewhere, from her duetting with Plan B on tour and Radio1’s Live Lounge, to writing for Duffy and regular performances live as a member of acclaimed French collective Nouvelle Vague. What Did I Do got its first Radio 2 play at the weekend, a full seven weeks ahead of release. The single is backed by My Life Could Use A Remix, a track co-written by Sophie with legendary lyricist Don Black, who has provided lyrics for some of the most famous names in music including Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and several James Bond theme tunes.
